Articulate Storyline
The primary goal of the eLearning module is to train employees on how to conduct engaging, informative, and effective property tours that could convert prospective tenants into actual renters.
Audience: All employees will be required to take this course.
Business Problem: The key in building a thriving community of satisfied residents comes from establishing norms for employees. Occupancy rates at Maple Street Apartment Complex have been trending down for the last 6 months. Prospective tenant follow up surveys indicated poor satisfaction with property tours. Inspection of employee training records showed a lack of continuity of professional development related to customer service. Streamlined training will provide consistent training related to tours and customer service. Maple Street Apartment Complex’s goal is to increase occupancy rates by 50%, with 30% coming from new resident leases.
Solution: A blended learning approach is the best delivery of content material. It allows the learner to have more control over their learning pace and schedule. By incorporating the e-learning course and on the job practice, blended learning can make the learning experience more engaging and enjoyable for the learner. This often leads to improved retention and understanding of the material.
All current employees will take part in a blended learning training. The training will consist of this online Storyline module and on the job practice conducting tours with managers for feedback.
Process: An analysis of the audience, content, and business problem was conducted. After analyzing the problem and deciding on an appropriate solution, I utilized my design document to create my learning course. I began developing the module using the Storyboard, which serves as the blueprint for the e-learning module. Kirkpatrick's Level 2 of evaluation includes an interactive knowledge check and a final assessment with scenario-based questions. Kirkpatrick's Level 3 evaluation will be evaluated in two different ways. Each staff member will be required to give a property tour to management as part of their yearly evaluation. Second, each staff member will be evaluated by a "secret shopper" to evaluate the quality of the property tour. This will rule out any deemed "favoritism" complaint that could be made.
This eLearning module is designed for employees that focuses on fire safety in a retirement center. This business can enhance their preparedness for fire emergencies, ultimately saving lives and reducing the potential for injury and property damage.
Audience: All employees will be required to take this course.
Business Problem: As part of evaluating continuing education credits, a survey was given to current employees of the Franklin Center to determine areas for growth. The survey showed that only 4 of 10 employees know where to evacuate the residents and know how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Interviews conducted revealed that there had been no previous fire safety training.
Solution: All current employees will take part in a blended learning training. The training will consist of this online Storyline module and on the job practice of P.A.S.S. method using a fire extinguisher. Fire safety training is paramount in ensuring that our staff members are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, respond to, and mitigate fire-related emergencies effectively. By investing in fire safety training for our employees, Franklin Center demonstrates its commitment to providing a secure environment for both residents and staff.

I began developing the module using the Storyboard, which serves as the blueprint for the e-learning module. Kirkpatrick's Level 2 of evaluation includes an interactive scenario, two interactive knowledge checks and a final assessment with scenario-based questions. As outlined in the Design Document, Kirkpatrick's Level 3 evaluation comes in the form of monthly fire drills that will be conducted to evaluate staff members employing the R.A.C.E. protocol. Additionally, staff members will be required to perform the P.A.S.S. method using a fire extinguisher during the yearly fire safety day. An additional microlearning was created for this course in the form of a job aid. This job aid is a quick reference that highlights the important information covered in the e-learning module.
Articulate Rise
This module will focus on helping nurses identify the symptoms of burnout and compassion fatigue, understand the difference between them, and learn how to recognize early warning signs to prevent long-term negative effects on their well-being and patient care.
Self-care is essential for nurses because it helps maintain physical, emotional, and mental well-being, which directly impacts patient care quality. By prioritizing self-care, nurses can reduce stress, prevent burnout, and sustain the energy and focus needed for their demanding roles.
The Rise Sample was created first. I wanted to highlight different interactions, so I turned this into a Storyline sample as well.

Process: I used a systematic approach to adult learning when creating this course. First, I began by analyzing the target audience, content, business problem and solution. Next, I create the design document which outlines the important components of the module. I used Articulate Rise to develop the course. I implemented Kirkpatrick's Level 2 of evaluation which includes 5 scenario based assessment questions for a final graded assessment. As part of the Level 3 implementation, each staff member will be evaluated by a “secret shopper” to evaluate the quality of a property tour given. In addition, each staff member will be required to give a property tour to management as part of their yearly evaluation.
